Danny Morris Official Site
Welcome

Hi everyone my name is Danny Morris and I am a singer songwriter and very novice producer. I play guitar, keyboard and drums to an average standard, just enough to get my songs up and running. Some of you may be very surprised to hear it but I have also been known to do a dance or 2.

From a very young age the only thing I have ever wanted to do was perform. As soon as I was big enough to pick up a guitar I began learning how to play which then enabled to me to begin writing my own songs. Obviously as a child there are only so many things you have to sing about so most of my songs were about school, I even wrote the song my class sang at our year 6 leavers do and even wrote a song for one of my favourite teachers leaving show called, Dear sir we thank you, ha ha.

When I turned seven I entered my first ever talent show with a friend of mine, [Mikey] we called ourselves ‘The Panthers’ (We were 7 ok Lol). We sang the backstreet boys classic ‘Everybody’. We won that year and again the year after this time singing Hansons ‘I will come to you’. It was while I was at the second talent show a parent from the audience advised my mum and dad to put me into a drama school. So 3 weeks later I started in ‘Chiltern Casting School’ while there I practised Drama, Dance and singing, all of which I used to perform on stages such as the Empire, Neptune, Everyman, and Rathbone theatres and also St Georges Hall.

I was also lucky enough to also be involved with programmes such as ’Brookside’, ’Hollyoaks’ and also ’Michael Barrymore’s My kind of music’ After 4 really enjoyable years at Chiltern I decided it was time for me to leave.

I carried on my love for performing in my senior school [St Edmond Arrowsmith] taking part in as many school productions as I could. After Senior school I attended Carmel College where I took courses in Music technology and performances studies among others. It was while I was attending college I received a phone call from an old friend of mine [David] asking me would I be interested in taking part in the ‘X-Factor 2006’ with a Boy Band and so started my band life for the next 2 years in ‘Eton Road’.

Me and the boys had a fantastic 2 years together touring up and down the country performing on some of the biggest stages around meeting new friends/fans but sadly we all decided that we had achieved as much as we were going to as a Band and decided to call it a day.

I am currently pursuing a solo career and really enjoying some of the music I’m able to create. I love writing music with catchy bass lines and infectious lyrics and I’ve recently been discovering how to produce my own songs .

I have been working very hard over the last few months and have recently acquired the help of a fantastic management company who are putting together some absolutely fantastic ideas, which hopefully will come together in the near future for you all to see.

I would like to thank all of our ER fans and my family and friends for all they have done for me so far and also say thank you for all of your messages of support, they mean a lot to me, Danny
